  • A Feasibility Study Using CLINIMACS® for Alpha/Beta T-Cell Depletion in Stem Cell Transplant

    Patients in need of an allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) are at risk of developing graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD). In certain clinical situations, the optimal approach to minimize the risk of GVHD is to perform ex vivo alpha-beta T-cell depletion of the donor cells. However, the CliniMACS® Device is FDA-approved only for a narrow indication. All other uses of ex vivo processed cells must be done under a feasibility study protocol.

  • Comparing Cyclophosphamide and Abatacept With Standard of Care Treatment Following Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients With Hematologic Malignancy

    The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the combination of cyclophosphamide and abatacept versus the treatment used in standard of care will reduce the incidence of moderate and severe chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. GVHD occurs when the cells from your donor (the graft) see your body's cells (the host) as different and attack them.

  • Experimental Vedolizumab for Acute Graft Versus Host Disease (aGVHD) in Stem Cell Transplants

    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of vedolizumab when added to background aGvHD prophylaxis regimen compared to placebo and background aGvHD prophylaxis regimen on intestinal aGvHD-free survival by Day +180 in participants who receive allo-HSCT as treatment for a hematologic malignancy or myeloproliferative disorder.

  • Lactobacillus Plantarum in Preventing Acute Graft Versus Host Disease in Children Undergoing Donor Stem Cell Transplant

    This randomized phase III trial studies how well Lactobacillus plantarum works in preventing acute graft versus host disease in children undergoing donor stem cell transplant. Lactobacillus plantarum may help prevent the development of gastrointestinal graft versus host disease in children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing donor stem cell transplant.

  • RGI-2001 for the Prevention of Acute Graft-vs-Host Disease in Subjects Following Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

    This Phase II open label study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of repeat doses of RGI-2001 in combination with standard of care treatment for the prevention of acute graft-vs-host-disease (aGvHD) in subjects following Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (alloHSCT). These subjects will be compared to contemporary controls.

  • Topical Fibrinogen-Depleted Human Platelet Lysate in Patients With Dry Eye Secondary to Graft vs. Host Disease

    The purpose of this Phase 1/2 study is to compare the safety and tolerability of four times a day (QID) dosing of a non-preserved topical ocular drop formulation of 10 vol/vol % and 30 vol/vol % of FD hPL to vehicle control eye drops in patients with Dry Eye Disease (DED) secondary to Graft vs. Host Disease (GvHD).

  • A Long-term Extension Study of PCI-32765 (Ibrutinib)

    The purpose of this study is to collect long-term safety and efficacy data for participants treated with PCI-32765 (Ibrutinib) and to provide ongoing access to PCI-32765 for participants who are currently enrolled in PCI-32765 studies that have been completed according to the parent protocol, are actively receiving treatment with PCI-32765, and who continue to benefit from PCI-32765 treatment.

  • Abatacept as GVHD Prophylaxis Phase 2

    This is a phase II multi-center, randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled trial. The investigators are doing this study to see if a new drug, abatacept, can be used together with a calcineurin inhibitor (cyclosporine or tacrolimus) and methotrexate to provide better protection against Acute Graft versus Host Disease (aGvHD) without causing more infections.

  • Dexamethasone Solution and Dexamethasone in Mucolox™

    Topical steroid therapy is considered the first line of treatment for Oral Inflammatory Ulcerative Diseases with current treatment regimens requiring multiple application or rinses daily. Using Mucolox™ as a vehicle to deliver topical dexamethasone to the oral mucosa has the potential to effectively prolong contact time between the medication. The primary objective of this study is to determine the clinical efficacy and tolerability of compound dexamethasone at 0.5 mg/5 mL in Mucolox™ for the treatment of Oral Inflammatory Ulcerative Diseases as measured by a reduction in oral symptoms between patients treated with compounded dexamethasone 0.5mg/5ml solution in Mucolox™ (group A) and patients treated with topical commercial dexamethasone 0.5mg/5ml solution only (group B). and mucosa, leading to improved clinical outcomes due to the need for less frequent application.

  • Fecal Microbiota Transplantation for the Treatment of Severe Acute Gut Graft-Versus-Host Disease

    This phase I trial studies the side effects of using an investigational procedure (fecal microbiota transplantation [FMT]) in treating patients with severe acute gut graft-versus-host-disease. The purpose of a fecal microbiota transplantation is to use feces from a healthy human donor to replace the abnormal gut bacteria in the recipient. One of the side effects of a stem cell transplant is the development of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in several organs including gut. GvHD is caused by the donated bone marrow or peripheral blood cells recognizing the recipient's body as foreign and attacking it. Acute gut GvHD is one of the leading causes of death after transplant. Recently, studies have shown that patients with reduced intestinal bacterial diversity in their stool during acute gut GvHD have higher overall mortality rates. The information learned from this study may offer FMT as a promising therapy for the treatment of severe acute gut graft-versus-host-disease.

  • Predictive Biomarkers For Pediatric Chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease

    Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) can be hard to diagnose, difficult to manage and contributes significantly to morbidity and mortality in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation patients. The research will look into identifying and validating cGVHD biological indicators (=bio-markers) which will be evaluated whether they can predict a future development of the disease. The study hypothesis is that a number of previously reported cGVHD bio-markers, known to be present at the time of cGVHD diagnosis, will also be present at earlier time points, before cGVHD develops. Following validation, the bio-markers will be beneficial for finding those patients who are in higher risk to develop cGVHD. By identifying the higher-risk group, which is more likely to develop cGVHD, a pre-emptive therapy might be applied in order to prevent or reduce the prevalence of the disease.

  • Study of ProTmune for Allogeneic HCT in Adult Patients With Hematologic Malignancies

    This study is a Phase 1, Non-randomized, Open-label/Phase 2 Randomized, Blinded Study of ProTmune (ex vivo programmed mobilized peripheral blood cells) Versus Non-programmed mobilized peripheral blood cells for Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) in Adult Subjects Aged 18 years and older with Hematologic Malignancies. A maximum of 80 total eligible subjects will be enrolled and treated in the trial at approximately 15-20 centers in the US.
