Description

Summary

The Legacy Health Endowment (LHE) is initiating a childcare subsidy pilot program in the Turlock area that will include a 50% subsidy for the full-time care of one child. This study will examine the effects of that subsidy.

Details

The Parent Financial Stress Resilience study (PFSR) at UCSF will enroll subsidy participants and waitlist members to evaluate the effects of the LHE subsidy program. Study participants will respond to questionnaires administered online and be asked to release selected biomarker data from their LHE-provided physical exam. We will also add another layer to the subsidy program by providing a brief intervention that offers mindfulness and financial education resources to subsidy participants.
